    It just means that processor (phones "brain") have eight cores so it can make 8 tasks simultaneously. In another words - it's faster and you can turn on more apps on it without noticing much efficiency loss.

    Taken from Google - The terms octa-core and quad-core denote the number of processor cores in a CPU. Octa is eight, quad is four. So far, so obvious. But the key difference between the two – at least when talking about mobile chips in 2015 – is how these processor cores are set up.
