EMUI 4.1?

I've heard from a few different sources that they are taking a page out of Samsung's book and scaling back the modifucations to the UI and making things closer to Android stock. What version will be shipping with the 8? 4.1?

I think this is a good idea. Scale back some things and stick with what works.

Well.. yeah... I mean, I have an Honor 5X and there is a lot about that phone that impresses me to be honest. There are a ton of useful features and rather clever software touches... from fingerprint sensor gestures (which will be coming to the new Nexus phones) to some very granular control over what apps can do in the background. The good things they do, they do VERY good... But the user interface just seems a bit odd when compared to other Android phones, especially Nexus phones.

The Zenfone gave me the same impression. It can easily be overlooked, and after a while, one gets accustomed to it.

EMUI 5.0 is supposed to be released along with Android 7.0 "Nougat", so I would expect to see the Honor 8 (and maybe the 5x) receive an upgrade to EMUI 5.

Looking forward to EMUI 5, and if it is more pared down than the current EMUI.

It would be nice to bring it closer to stock... I wasn't a fan of the 5x ui
