My area has band 21 support and it's really been an improvement. Does the Honor 8 have band 12 support?

Yes, it supports it very well. VoLTE is enabled instantly so you don't have to do anything to make it work.

Yep, the only special snowflakes are the new Nexus, Moto X Pure, BB Priv, and of course the iPhones. Probably forgetting one. Since this happens a lot, I'm indifferent.

Hopefully they can add that functionality in a future software update

The ZTE Axon 7 has "planned" support for T-Mobile WiFi Calling and has done everything on it's end. According to ZTE employees on their forums, they are awaiting T-Mobile's approval and required certifications before enabling the feature.

I hope Huawei adds support for WFC with the Honor 8. I sent an email to support and they mentioned it possibly being in "maintenance release 2" for the device planned for late 2016 / early 2017. Still not sold on it though.

Still sucks that gsm carriers are holding back in features...but this is pretty common with unlocked carrier free phones
