What is everyone using for car chargers and or additional chargers? Honor's site doesn't have any for sale and they use a 9V/2A charger.

If you want fast charging (9v/2a) then you would need to get their proprietary charger.

Otherwise you can use any 5v/2a charger.

There have been reports of the qc 2/3 ones charging very slow.

I know it's crazy I called tech and they said their working on getting some accessories on their site. The quick charge is Qualcomm 2.0 so others should work it just doesn't say fast charging when charging.
Andrew indicated that his would charge at 5v/1a speeds using qc 2/3

" When plugging it into my Quick Charge 3.0 wall plug or Quick Charge 2.0 battery it would only pull about 5V/1A, which is rather slow ... a "standard" 5V/2A charging plug gave it the best speeds outside of its own in-box charger. "

I use a Monoprice car charger with one of their cables. It has a regular USB type and a type C port. Haven't tried the C to C to see if quick charging works though.

The fast charging on the Honor 8 is NOT Qualcomm Quick Charge.

It is also qc 3.0...but let us know how it goes.

So, I received the charger and tried it out, but it does NOT do "Fast Charging". I think that one of the big cons about the Honor 8 is the lack of accessories like car chargers, standard chargers, cases and screen protectors. I'm hoping that with the popularity of this phone that some manufacturers take notice and make these accessories.

I'm wondering how the Honor 8 would work with the Vinsic car charger https://amazon.com/Vinsic®-Charger-...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5413305 or the Google dual port wall charger https://forums.androidcentral.com/e.../store.google.com/us/?hl=en-US&token=OlobRjih my tenergy charger https://amazon.com/Tenergy-Charge-C...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5413305. These all manage to charge my Nexus 5x rapidly. Even if they can just hit the 5V/2A spec, that will be better than a slow charger.

Yeah . They should have done the Samsung approach and made it qualcomm quick charge compatible regardless of chip

Andrew mentioned in his review that 5v/2a chargers did work, so it is worth a try.

If we are not able to get a quick charger for it (e.g. car charger), what specs should we be looking for? 5v/2a? Is that the highest capacity (don't know if this is the right term) to be looking for?
