I have the same experience as them. It's very strong.

I noticed that my LG G3 took more of a hit signal-wise in specific areas - if I was out of town, for example. The Honor 8, in the same area, did not lose signal. At least, not that I noticed. My G3 totally lost signal and I wasn't able to text for a few minutes; but my Honor 8 was okay.

Something else to like about the 8.

Using the "Snap Camera" app with the camera 2 API option set it's possible to shoot pics in the RAW format.
Picture files end up anywhere from 23 to 25 mb in size (maybe higher)
I've been using Lightroom mobile to edit dng files.
More cool stuff from this phone.

Hopes this helps the camera buffs out there.

It's definitely my favorite phone in a LONG TIME. I've had so many phones and this just covers all that I need in one.

This is a phone that is just there 24/7
Nothing short of pure awesome detailed engineering.

He's not going to get one.

I went with this because the Pixel was too expensive and the G5 and HTC 10 remained out of my budget. If boxed in a corner I still prefer the Mi 5 over the Honor 8, but I own an Honor 8 because over the Mi 5 because of the better camera, proper LTE support and microSD support.

I like the Honor 8 though. A few quibbles, but it is doing exactly what I want so far.
