How does MIUI compare to EMUI? Considering the Mi Mix 2 to go with my honor 8

Love the look of the Mi Mix 2 and wondered how MIUI compares as the software experience is more important, otherwise I will have to stump up the extra to get a Mate 10

I'd like to know this too! That does look like an interesting phone.

I always wanted to try out miui but no phones in the usa have it

I don't have much hands on but MIUI should be the more "Asian" of the two. EMUI wasn't too loved by many but has matured over the years. MIUI is still a generation or two behind. Which may or may bother you, I personally could probably survive the UI as long as the hardware delivers [emoji106]

I used nova anyway, it's the notification shade and menu systems that really concern me as they are what's left of the UI when a launcher is used over the top.

Good point. Is the notification shade that much different? Menu systems are less important to me as I don't use it frequently

I've heard good stuff about miui. Never tried it though. The MI Mix 2 sure is beautiful. Supposed to be very customizable like emui. There are videos in YouTube vs between them two

Not a big deal for me. Don't use front facing cameras often, and certainly not in apps other than the camera app.

I don't use it much. But when I do, that bottom placement will bother me.

That is true. Normally if I can make out what you are saying then I won't bring it up, but sometimes typos change the meaning of what you are writing so I bring it up to see what you meant
