Circle when touching screen

Does anyone know how to disable the grey circle that appears when touching the screen, see below next to the word Sounds? I can't find it in gestures etc. The developer option for Show Touches is NOT ticked.

Have you been playing with Developer Options? Settings -> Developer Options -> Show taps.

If that's not it, must be an HTC thing. Look in Settings -> Accessibility.

Do you get that circle on every screen or just in some particular app? You could try safe mode to disable temporarily all third party apps. This way you can see if the cause is an app that you downloaded or some bug/setting in the system.

Lol. I am running the Android N Beta on my Nexus 6P and here it is called "Show taps" but I do believe that in Marshmallow and earlier it is "Show touches."

The OP said that 'Show Touches' is already off.

The developer option for Show Touches is NOT ticked.

HTC 10 - Glove mode - SETTINGS & SERVICES - How-tos - Support | HTC Middle East

Turn Glove mode on so that the touch screen responds more accurately when you're wearing gloves.

From the Home screen, tap > Settings > Display & gestures or Display, gestures & buttons.
Select the Glove mode option.

When Glove mode is turned on, you'll be able to see where you've tapped the touch screen.

I believe that would be the only other option. In Display, Gestures, Buttons. I forgot about that. I must have used that only a couple times.

It was indeed glove mode, thanks very much, that's miles better now! And thanks to the poster who replied to all those who didn't read my original message properly saying it definitely wasn't show touches!
