Video and Audio Sync Problem

I use my 10 for recording video but use a zoom h6 for audio and layer them nice in iMovie. However like my Nexus 5x, the audio and video line up correctly in the beginning but as the final edited video progresses, audio doesn't sync with the video. It's like the video records in a different amount of time or something when they should start and stop at the same time. Wasn't like this on my Note 7... RIP. I made sure the picture setting for hdr is off and record in full HD. Any other recommendations?

Tldr; record video with htc 10 and audio with zoom h6. When lining up both files in iMovie it progressively unsyncs the video and audio. Suggestions?

Problem fixed: Have to record in HD Audio mode so the video file is lossless. Convert it with VLC and it lines up perfectly with the Zoom H6.
