[AC Question]

Hello all!
I have bought a HTC 10 last week and found that the top speaker is far less loud than the bottom speaker. is that normal or just my phone?
I tried cache reset, factory reset, switching between theater and music mode and different apps/sounds.

Normal. Mine's the same . Top speaker is more treble I think. In any case it's for better tonal balance and supposedly creates a richer sound instead of just making them both the same. I think it sounds nice. My Moto MXPE both speakers are equal and while it makes for louder sound it's not necessarily better quality. Have you tried headphones yet?

Via headphones the sound is normal.
I just asked because I like to watch youtube on speaker and it is not totally comfortable if the sound is not evenly distributed.
But if that's normal, I will lern to live with it, I guess

I noticed this when I first got my phone. The sound is horrible watching videos. It seems so off balance with half the sound missing

I agree. I certainly miss the sound of the equal dual front speakers, but like others have said, it's how the HTC 10 was setup... highs up top and lows on the bottom.

I miss the even sound also, but for me personally, I like the quality more. So I really cant complain too much.

Now I don't have to send in my phone. Would have been kind of silly (me: "my phone doesn't work", htc tech: "it kind of works like designed, stupid")

I will learn to live with it.
