    Hello,

When using the HTC File Manager, I'm unable to view images. I get error "Did not find a matching file type viewer!".

I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I used to be able to view just fine. I use HTC Gallery and Google Photos. These pics show in both galleries just fine.

Any idea what is going on? I've attached a pic of the error.

    Hello,
I tried and still get the error message. Any other ideas?

This shouldn't matter, but can you rename the .jpeg part to .jpg and see if it opens correctly?

I tried that as well--before I posted. I initially thought it was downloads only but it's every photo in all folders. I looked at the reviews in the play store based off the most recent update, only one person is reporting a problem similar to mine. This phone is less than 3 months old (replacement).

Bump: sent this issue to HTC. Nothing so far.

This probably won't work, but go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, and look for File Manager. If it's there, select it, tap Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data. Now see if the same thing happens.

Also, try wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-25804

I just started having a similar problem as well. I typically use QuickPic for viewing my pictures, but as of late, I've been unable to view the new ones I've taken or downloaded there without some effort. I'm usually able to upload them elsewhere if I use another app, such as Google Photos.

I've also been unable to view the recent pictures on Windows 10 when I try to drag them from my phone to the laptop. However, I am able to upload them on Dropbox and get them on that way.

A quick update... I am able to transfer photos to my SD card and they appear normal once I eject it and put the card in my laptop. However, I'm still unable to transfer them via the phone with a cord or otherwise, unless it's by Dropbox (and renamed by date uploaded, of course).
