    It just appeared on my HTC Desire 610 phone it is using >30% of my battery. I don't have Firefox or FreeFlight installed on the phone (I saw in the forums that these apps were related to the mdnsd issue). I did have iSyncr installed briefly, but I have uninstalled it and still see mdnsd in the Battery Usage list

    Hi. You need to google this issue, but I found the answer .
    Its media scanner. People suggest to just remove your memory card format it using pc and reinsert it.
