I've been reading up on the Desire for the past couple of month and been looking forward to the switch.
Living in the UK I've hunted around and seemed to find that Orange are offering the best tariff at the moment without offering cashback. However I've been reading that the OrangeUK ROM's are heavily branded and run slower or more sluggish than the generic ROM's.
I'll be rooting the device should the bootloader allow it and flashing a generic ROM as soon as it arrives, but I'm wondering, are the custom ROM's available any good? What's the main differences (Excluding pre-installed/removed apps)?
