2nd update coming Jan 22nd

I was at my Verizon store today and they told me a software update was coming on Jan 22. This update will fix the video play problem, location being displayed wrong, adding a pause button to the media player, and other items they didn't tell me. This is not the Android update though at least that's what they told me. Take this info got what its worth.

Jeez - I'm still waiting for the plain ole 1.6 update. On Dec 15th my Verizon guy told me:

12/9 at 11:59 pm, 1,000 users will receive notification of the update
12/10 at noon, 9,000 more users will receive the update notification
After the first 10,000 users receive the update, there will be a 48-hour period when no additional upgrades will be delivered
12/12 at noon, 200,000 users will receive the update.
Everyday thereafter at noon, 200,000 users until the update has been delivered to all users.

Still waiting...

Nonie- that wasn't a 1.6 update, that was merely a minor update within 1.5. I don't think the Eris is getting 1.6. We're going straight to 2.0 or higher

Same here but I'm actually thinking of switching my Eris out for a Droid. i love the phone but the battery life is killing me. Plus, after seeing all the customization that's possible on droid, and just how much quicker it is, I think I can live without sense UI.
We'll see. Waiting until after January 5th in case Google has another trick up their sleeve.
