Is it safe to download the new ota regarding future rooting possibilities?

Don't want to update to something that.will make it harder in the future. Thanka

no one knows. This thing is locked down pretty good regardless of whether you update or not.

As you have guessed the people at XDA have advised not to as updates may contain patches for not yet discovered holes... having said that I hear the patches were for legit reasons or at least the last ones...still....

to further compound the issue, not updating in hopes of not plugging a hole may be pointless if HTC intends to realease a OTA unlock- as far as I know they are still mum on this in spite of their facebook page which is really funny- check out how may posts there are about the bootloader lolz

Ive updated yesterday when I got my phone but is there any new update as of today? I'm currently on 1.13.651.7

I haven't since it still is recommended to stay on stock firmware.
