Morning, all, first thread, longtime reader. 
Having an issue with sound quality when using my EVO3D with a Scosche FMTD3 FM Transmitter (the standard walmart job with the flexible wire neck).
The FM transmitter works great with my former EVO 4G. No static (to speak of), no interference, nothing. Clear sound.
As soon as I hit play, though, on the 3D, it broadcasts an unacceptable amount of noise. Same volume settings between the two phones - no difference in car stereo noise. Doesn't happen when I hit pause. ONLY when I hit play does the static come through.
Note:
I have seen a few threads here regarding the plug style, and how sometimes that will confuse the EVO headset jack into thinking there's a mic attached. The plug style has two bands on it, and then the tip. Don't know if that matters, but I've tried using a similar plug type on computer speakers - no interference at all.
I'm using WinAMP for the music player. Are there any settings I can tweak?
