screen off settings

I can remember my old windows phone had a setting that would allow the phone screen to stay on when plugged in and would have another setting for when on battery so that you set a screen off timer. Has anyone seen this feature for our phone? I just hate having it in my car dock and the screen shuts off after the time set and when you set it without timer the phone screen stay on in your pocket after an unanswered call and just kills the battery or worse you end up hitting all kinds of buttons while its in your pocket.
