Dont think so. OTA are carrier specific. Since the EVO 3D is branded for Sprint, any OTA from Sprint would not go well with Boost flashed device.
Not only that once its flashed to Boost, you shouldnt get a Sprint OTA, it will be on a completely different network.

Boost runs on the Sprint Network, I don't see why this wouldn't work. All the phones are technically compatible Boost to Sprint and vice versa, just a matter of getting them to activate it. I would do a nandroid backup and give it a try.

Crap, i was thinking of MetroPCS. They have their own network. Sorry
Boost is an MVNO that uses Sprints network. Your correct.
You are also right in the fact that Boost has to accept the ESN for billing purposes. Its already in the master sprint system so its possible. Im not sure how Boost adds or accepts ESNs though.
