Please help

Hello All,

I just bought an HTC EVO 3D last night from a guy off of craigslist and I noticed it did not have the Google Play or Android Market. That was only the first problem, I then took it to a Sprint store to find out that it was rooted and after the employee did a hard reset it will now freeze at the starting HTC screen and won't get past it.

Can anyone help in any way? Please and thanks.

Check to see if it has a custom recovery installed. (hold power and volume down buttons, boot into recovery). If so, you can flash a custom rom and gapps. If not, look for a recovery to use like TWRP. You can find instructions here and on XDA.
