So I just thought of something.... Does the 3D stereo scopic effect work in portrait view??

That would require cross hatched patterns in the paralax barrier. The technology works likethe holographic baseball cards where prismatic strips run through the screen diverting the images left and right to give you two different perspectives. So in theory they would have to be cross hatched squares to work both in landscape and portrait. But that would divert the images up and down as well. The parallax barrier is physically adhered over the screen so it would be impossible to shift it for the different views. Im assuming it only works in landscape view.

.... Sorry for geeking out for a sec, can I get some confirmation on this quick thought?
