Setting up an IMAP account to push

Ok, I'm coming from my Pre which I was able to get email Pushed to the device from my email account. I setup my mail on my new 3D through "Other (POP3/IMAP)" but there is no option for "Push" on the "Update Schedule". I just set up my Hotmail acct using the "ActiveSync" option and my Hotmail now Pushes. I tried to go back through the "ActiveSync" to create my primary email account again to gain access to the Push option but I can't get it to work.

Thoughts? Thx in advance!

Native Androind mail has never supported push. There are some mail apps in the app store that allow push though.

My mail stock mail app on my epic is set as push

set it to the lowest possible sync interval. K9 mail from the market works great too.
