I download my SwiftKey beta and accidently cleared the notification bar. Then proceeded to just head to the download app and install it from there but was greet with an absence of the app. WTH I know I can use astro which I did but still WTH is up with so much missing from the phone?

I've installed Root Explorer, which lets me go to the downloads folder w/o using the Download app.. seems to help.

Yea but I shouldn't have to use another app when it should be a stock feature my only work around is download astro or root explorer, or the old fashion way and open the stock browser and click menu and the select download.

HTC (Touch Diamond. Touch Pro. Evo 4G. Evo 3D. Evo 4G LTE)

The Downloads app is actually on the phone, but it's hidden from the app drawer. If you go to Manage Apps > All you can see the stock ICS Downloads app there.

I used Folder Organizer to create a shortcut to the stock Downloads app on one of my homescreens (which is a little nicer than simply creating a link to the downloads folder), but this still is a needless workaround.
