At first, I thought it was a strange fluke, which I could not disable without restarting my phone.
What I've since realized is that this happens after I disconnect MHL from my phone. On a fresh reboot, only the power button can turn the screen on. After using MHL and disconnecting it from my phone, pressing the volume+/- will also turn my phone's screen on.
Has anyone else run into the same issue? If so, do you know of any way to prevent the volume buttons from turning the screen on, without having to restart the phone? I keep my phone in my pocket most of the time, and having multiple buttons that could potentially turn the screen on and waste my battery is not ideal.
