Skype call to land line

I tried to call using skype to landline. They heard me, but I did not hear them. I was using 4G (which is brand new here). Can I hear skype calls with this phone or do I need to get an earpiece? Thanks

It should be fully possible to hear them. My first guess would be that you had media volume turned down. Since skype isn't the system phone app it isn't affected by voice volume.
