noob...need help stuck on infinte loop rebooting

I dropped my phone in the morning today and it worked fine. Then much later at night my battery went out and when i went to charge it and turn it on it just kept turning on then off over and over. All that loads is the htc quietly brilliant screen the reboots. I tried letting the battery run out, tried booting it from recovery screen, and a hard reset and all that happens is the same thing. When i tried the bootloader option or fastboot it will say .img file names and say missing image or wrong file. Anybody know anything i could do?any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Did you try holding the power button down for 13 seconds its equivalent to a battery pull I think.
