It's only a temporary root, you can get it in the market.

Z4 isn't in the market, just google search the apk. It's easy to find. It's called z4root.

Just make sure you get version 1.3 and it's only a temp root. It will go away after you reboot.

Alright, I found 1.3, and explain to me the difference between temp root and unrevoked? I mean all I want is to root my Evo, and install Rom Manager so I can downlaod and install CM 6.1. Will this work or not?

Nope, root is just plainly getting super user access to your currently installed software. Flashing ROMs requires that you have HTC signature verification turned off or more referred to as "s-off". This can only be done by forcing a custom recovery and flashing unrevoked forever on EVOs with hboot 2.02 or newer or by flashing the HTC engineering software on prior hboot versions.

Will Unrevoked forever give me what I am looking for to install CM ?

There isn't an easy root for hboot 2.10, there is for hboot 2.02 but nothing as easy as unrevoked yet.

Unrevoked forever just turns s-off, Unrevoked will get you root access on your phone but doesn't work on new EVOs.

I recommend rooitng while you can dude, get root and dont let go...
