Alright, I found 1.3, and explain to me the difference between temp root and unrevoked? I mean all I want is to root my Evo, and install Rom Manager so I can downlaod and install CM 6.1. Will this work or not?

Nope, root is just plainly getting super user access to your currently installed software. Flashing ROMs requires that you have HTC signature verification turned off or more referred to as "s-off". This can only be done by forcing a custom recovery and flashing unrevoked forever on EVOs with hboot 2.02 or newer or by flashing the HTC engineering software on prior hboot versions.

So the latest update to the Evo ... thats the hboot2.02? correct?

Fred what is the difference between unrevoked 3.22 and unrevoked forever?

Will Unrevoked forever give me what I am looking for to install CM ?

All I want to know is there another way of rooting my Evo as easy as Unrevoked? Or do I have to wait until Unrevoked is updated since the Evo received an update?

Cool thanks Fred, I Guess I will play the patient game then and wait for Unrevoked to get updated for the new Evo's.
