Wipe battery stats?

After wiping battery stats how long does it take for the battery to be recalibrated? I wiped mine a few days ago and have seen some dismal life...at least not what I'm used to.

generally when you wipe the stats, its after flashing a new ROM or Kernel. Charge it up full, wipe the stats, then let it run dead then charge it up full with no interruption.

Your really supposed to charge it until 100%, then power down and pull the plug out, plug it back in and let it charge up to 100% again, your supposed to unplug it and back in a few times to make sure it's truly 100%.

Then you have to go right in to recovery and erase the battery stats, then let the phone drain down to where it turns itself off and resume normal usage.
