I followed the instructions posted here [ROOT] ~~~ HTC EVO - Universal Auto Root ~~~ v2.2 (works with all version)(1/10/11) - xda-developers to root the phone. After it started the root process I got this error message

Phone is flashing Unrevoked Forever, you should see a circular icon with a green

I dont see a circular icon on my phone all I see is Red Triangle with an Exclamation mark inside. What should I do next..to get my phone back... Now the phone is stuck at the White htc EVO 4G bootscreen.

Did you run the app as admin?

As well did you turn off any other type of sync service on your computer? It looks like there's another ADB daemon running which is confusing the root process.

Yes, I did run the app as admin , I checked to see if there were any sync service running didnot find any. What do I need to do get the phone up and running.

I tried to clear storage and it didn't helped. Phone is still stuck. What do I need to do get past the boot screen.

Run the RUU and start over.

What version hboot do you have (it will say at the top of the white screen) or do you know what software version was on the phone? Let me know and I'll point you to the right file to run.

I am trying to run RUU lets see what happens.. Phone gets stuck at White HTC logo and black screen with phone and a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it
. Version of hboot is 2.10. When I press power and volume down I get these options fastboot, recovery, clear storage , sim lock and hboot usb.

Alright, get the 3.7 RUU file from here: Index of /evo/stock/RUU/

and run it while the phone has the red triangle on it. It may take a few times but it will get it. That screen is the stock Evo recovery screen and the RUU should be able to reset the phone to hboot and push some new files over from there.

I dont have a micro sd adapter at the moment and cannt put on them on a sd card as the phone doesn't show up as a drive But it does go into recovery with these options fastboot, recovery, clear storage , simlock , hboot usb.

Any other options to do this or I have to do this without a sd card.

I would suggest getting an sd adapter then....

You can push the file to your sdcard.

Boot the phone in to recovery.

put the PC36IMG.zip file in to to your adb.exe directory

adb push PC36IMG.zip /sdcard

then reboot in to bootloader and it will find, verify and prompt you to install the file, volume up for yes. Let it do it's thing and there you go.

I dont have adb directory on my pc. Are you talking about this article How to Install Android SDK and ADB Drivers for HTC Evo 4G! | HTC Evo 4G Hacks! where it talks about installing Andriod SDK..

Yes but you can skip that because of the root tool that you used, you have adb on your computer.

Just open a command prompt in the folder where you extracted the files to, you can see 'adb.exe' in there.

Boot your evo in to recovery and just type:

adb devices

to verify it's connected, then go ahead and push the file over to your sdcard.

Same error messages as before radio_vz fail bootloader fail-ic , image check fail and update fail!.. What are options are here looks like the zip thing is not working...... What does these error messages mean..
Here is a list of output from cmd lines that files were pushed correctly

C:\Users\win7\Downloads\AutoRoot_v2.2>adb devices
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached
HT0BPHL05425 recovery

C:\Users\win7\Downloads\AutoRoot_v2.2>adb push PC36IMG.zip /sdcard
1260 KB/s (211823071 bytes in 164.129s).

Can recovery be done from cmd prompt (adb folder ) . This has turned out to be a learning experience ..

Yes, you can push a recovery through the stock evo recovery.

[ROOT][GUIDE] HBoot 2.02/2.10 SOFF - There Will Be Root - Upd. 01.10.11 - xda-developers - in the download file is a recovery directory and then at step 10 the steps are listed to push it over.

Nah, the command listed didnot worked . C:\Users\win7\Downloads\AutoRoot_v2.2>adb shell busybox --install /sbin
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) . Dont know why the zip file is not working. I wasn't expecting to have that fun :(
