Grainy camera. Any idea of a fix for that?

Could it be the kernel?
Im using htc #15 on mikfroyo 4.1.6. If i take it in, they might give me a refub :(

could be the camera module, i had a customer come in with a camera that was half black. Possibly the module needs to be reseated. Also backup, and try from a fresh flash. If it works properly,restore, if it doesnt, take it in to the Service Center

That happened to me as well. Because I had the insurance protection on my account, I just returned it for a new one. No questions asked.

My EVO is the same way. Even in broad daylight there is noticeable grain/noise in photos. Indoor are terrible and the flash just blows everything out.

Actually i restored everything back to the way it should be and unrooted and my problems were gone! My pics are smooth now.
