question about unrevoked forever

You don't have to use both, one or the other will root the phone and make it NAND unlocked so you can flash ROMs and Kernels.

I don't know if you already have experience with the step-by-step method posted as a sticky, but you should give it a read through so that if on the off chance you get stuck with Unrevoked, you can pick up or start troubleshooting using the step-by-step method.

i ran unrevoked3 already but from what i read u need forever to flash custom roms and kernals properly....im to the point where all i gotta do is select yes to install forever and thats it...still kinda iffy

I would say to go ahead and run Unrevoked Forever. It shouldn't hurt anything.

What ROMs & Kernels are you looking to try?

friend from work is using bakedsnack on his epic and they make the same rom for the evo and he says with that rom and kernal he's running he can o/c to 1.1 or 1.2 and use less battery and obv get better processor speed....so ill prob start off with that and then go from there
