sound not working only when headphones plugged in.

so last week, my phone stop playing sound, ringtones, music, speaker phone, ect. i can only hear it when the headphones are plugged in. i can still make calls and hear the person on the other line. also i was using the gps and then got a call. while on call i could here the navigation voice telling where to turn.

i did replace the screen cause it was cracked. i told the guy that he messed up my phones sound. he said replacing the screen has nothing to do with the sound, that he didnt do that. looking back i did have a bunch of missed calls and text before i took it in to get fixed.

anyways any help would be helpfull, thanks.

My suggestion to you...take the phone in for a replacement or repairs. That sounds to me like the device is defective. Assuming you have insurance (TEP) - you shouldn't have any problem getting it fixed or replaced.

If it's rooted, they will either A) make you pay extra for the repair or B) not even look at it. It's always best to unroot before official repairs.
