The sprint salesman at my local sprint store told me that he could not show me anything on the evo. This is before I said a word.

Do you think I have been in there to much?

I'm Gelst ,

I'm a EVOholic too and I'm proud to admit that. My girlfriend hates my Pre is buying me an EVO for my birthday. I can't wait to dropkick my craPre right off a cliff into oblivion and never look back. When I think of the EVO I get a warm feeling. All day long at work I am constantly refreshing Androidcentral to see if any topics are out there. I have called Sprint at least 4 times and tried to get them to move up my date for a new phone from July 1 to June 1 so I can get the EVO and they wont do it because I am a sprin premier and I am already getting mu upgrade a year early.

I have already shopped for accessories for the EVO and I dont even have one yet. I have already planned a road trip with my girl in July to SD to see MT. Rushmore and I can't wait to use my Google nav and a new windshield mount for my phone. I have even tried to convince some friends to buy an EVO and now all my emails to them go into their spam folders. If this is wasted then I want to get EVO wasted !:D

I've been an enthusiastic iPhone user for three years, but I preordered the EVO to evaluate. I'm going to put the 3GS away for a few days (except to call my girlfriend in Utah; we're both on AT&T) and use the EVO exclusively. I didn't do that when I tested the Incredible and therefore I don't think I gave it a fair chance. I love the large screen and look forward to experiencing Froyo and full-blown Flash when it becomes available.

I was getting into an Evo frenzy reading all the reviews and seeing all the pics and videos. Then I got lucky. I won Phil's Nexus One through a contest on this site (thanks again Phil!) and had that for a week before Google I/O gave out their Evo's to attendees. I didn't go, but I found a guy on Craigslist who wanted to trade his Evo for a T-Mobile Nexus One. Already being a Sprint customer, I jumped at the chance and now I feel like the luckiest guy on the planet with my Evo sitting here next to me! :)

Please don't hate me! I've been posting screenshots and helping answer questions about it, so at least I'm giving back! :)

I actually bought the Incredible and paid the restocking fee and partial month's usage bill. I wish I'd given it a bit more of a chance. Oh well, I'll have the EVO to try out on June 4th!

Hi, I'm also an EVO-holic....I have seen so many un-boxing videos that I am now starting to critique them based on more than just the phone!! "Interesting usage of lighting", "wow - porn background music, daring choice!", "that director is just not getting the energy out of the phone as the others did"....I am moving from the iPhone back to Sprint (was there a few years ago during the Mogul/Touch era), and can't wait to go back....

I have the Pre and my wife has the Hero. I hijack her phone daily just to get used to the Android OS. When I get the EVO I want to be running on all cylinders. Funny thing is I think the Pre has been acting up even more than normal since it knows its days are numbered.

Yeah, but does that help the AT&T person on the other end. Won't she be charged incoming minutes?

Also, you won't hear me disparaging the iPhone, no matter what I decide. It has been a great phone for me, heavily jailbroken, but I might make a move to the Android platform. :p

I'll tell you what...I'm a smartphone addict. My wife just rolls her eyes whenever I mention the topic.

I've been waiting since January for my next phone and since then I've used the N1, the Incredible and my old Palm 755p. Sent the first two back and am using the latter until next glorious Friday the 4th when Evo shows up.

Problem is that when the time for phone X comes, another has been announced and it's got better specs...so I wait. But I promise this time, no matter what, I'm getting and keeping the Evo. I will say, though, that the Dell 5 inch screen whatever you call it, looks pretty slick too...

Just put your sprint number on her A-List, if she has set that up. Unlimited Calling to and from...

Thats what I'm telling all my AT&T fam.

I'm looking forward to ditching WinMo (HTC Touch) - except for tasks & notes, still haven't figured out what I'm going to do there. I have been able to load Android on my phone from the SD card, so it's been fun playing with it, but it's really laggy this way & I don't want to flash the rom.

The wifester rolls her eyes every time I mention it (similar reaction when I was researching the Touch), but she just told me she really wants one too. Unfortunately for her, she just got a BB Curve a few months ago since her Centro died so she's not eligible for an upgrade until next year.

However, I'm pissed b/c I just found out that I won't be able to get it until July as I am on an employee plan. I need the damn phone so I can get back to my regularly scheduled programming - reading about the Evo keeps derailing everything else.
