Thats what I initially thought as well, but since he stipulates the rest of the nation will receive the EVO 4G on Friday, sounds like he is referring to the phone.

YOU guys made the mistake of thinking they are talking about the phone when they are CLEARLY talking about launching the 4G NETWORK in Kansas city, I would assume because the EVO 4G is launched on Friday.

you guys should read things a little slower next time................. LOL

The unbeatable.com site is clearly talking about the EVO, while kansascity.com reports just the 4G service. It could be unbeatable.com is misreporting. Throw your bets down now!

Im with you guys, obviously I am in KC and the network is now fully turned up. Last week I couldnt get a 4G signal everywhere I went but now it seems I can. I am consistently getting 3Mbps download speeds even in my downtown office.

I almost hit the studio store when I pulled this up at work...glad I read it closer. I guess I can wait 3 more days

pdog, is the signal good downtown? I'm worried about the 4g signal being ale to penetrate my office and condo walls since I hear that spectrum can't go through walls as well.
