Switching Keyboards

Can someone explain how installing a new keyboard works? Can I have more than one installed and swap them at will? Or can I only have one on the phone at a time?

I need to know this too.. I'm planning to use ShapeWriter (been practicing for a week on my iPod touch, I LOVE IT!) Do the alternative keyboards just "take over" ?

also for a head start..you'll install them, but typically you may have to go to settings>language & keyboard and enable it (doesn't quite take over immediately). After that switching is pretty easy, as you just long press an input box and choose your input.

Store that info so you'll be ready soon as y'get the phone!!
