Exchanging for dust, need help -

I am exchanging my Evo (version 0002) for a new one today (maybe white?) and need a few tips. I have Astro File manager, and I've backed up all the apps I can, but I will lose ShapeWriter - can I save it and transfer it over to the new phone? If so, how? Is there a way to back up my entire device and just restore it onto the new unit? I don't need calendar or contacts since Google does that for me (love that) but my preferences, etc?

Also, what is this big controversy about the screen differences? How will I tell when I go to Best Buy? I don't want a crappy screen

You can save apps on your computer from you phone and put them back on the sdcard and install with Astro if no more will fit.


I don't think you can tell the screen without adb, at least that's the only way I know how to
