In call SMS notifications on Froyo

I just updated to Froyo on my EVO and noticed that I am getting an in call notification when I receive an SMS. It's the standard sound that I receive when I'm not in a call... when my phone is just sitting on standby.

I don't remember my phone ever doing this before Froyo and I can't see to find a place to disable it. I don't mind it, except it's super loud and super annoying.

Does anybody have any idea on how to disable it? I know some of you are going to try to convince me to switch to Handcent, but I've been happy using the stock messaging service... well, that is until now.

You can turn it down with audio manager. A problem i'm having is that ever since the froyo update i haven't been receiving this alert while on the phone through the handcent app like i used to before the update.
