Turning on 4g slows my phone down big time

Hi guys,

I've read a few threads here about this issue, but I was wondering if anyone has it figured out yet? Basically when I turn on 4g, it'll slow down big time. I had some app on the phone that's kinda like a task manager and it was showing cpu usage at 100%, but when I looked at the list of individual services and programs running, the cpu usage of individual programs didn't add up to 100%.

Anyone know why this is? I would like to keep 4g on now that there is a lot more of it in the LA area, but it's pointless if my phone is laggy and unresponsive.
