My WiFi connection is asking for the key (1-4) when I'm entering my security code. The funny thing is the WiFi doesn't need a key, none of my other devices use one when connecting. How can I tell my Evo to not ask for a key?

not sure what that means. I'm trying to connect to a friends network that doesn't need a key, just a password. Evo is asking for both and naturally it won't connect.

Are are you sure you are picking your wifi network and its not connecting to another one that is close to you?

Go to wireless settings > wifi and make sure

You can get the WEP Key by going through the wireless modem's utility interface thingy. I can't remember when I first connected which one it asked me for...might have just been the password.
