when the phone is straight up. the notification drag bar no longer pulls down. but when the phone is on it's side. landscape mode. the notification WILL drag down.

i can't seem to find any setting that might fix that problem. it sure be nice to have that working again. i don't use my phone on it's side.

There is no setting that I know of that would cause this. Not to be too simplistic, but have you tried restarting your phone?

battery pulled over and over. i lost the phone yesterday at work. somebody else found it and i got it back at the end of day. hasn't worked since.

The screen may have been damaged in that area. Does the bar high light at all when you touch it? Or anything else in that area of the screen?

also if it has a case i would remove it and wipe the screen down something may be touching the screen or something,,, but most likely Smitty is right the digitzer may be damaged

there is no case and there is no damage. it just don't work standing up but works when sideways.

the phone has no damage whatsoever.

So when it's vertical and you pull it down, have you tried from the entire left to right? I'm just wondering if any part of it works.

If you press down (slightly, very slightly) on the top part of the screen a bit and then try to drag it down does it work?

Either way if it doesn't work I think you can bring it back to sprint and they'll most likely exchange it for you under warranty.

I don't know if this would help, or if this has anything to do with software but you may want to try a hard reset just for the heck of it, to get it off the "tried that" list.

works to the left, works to the right. works to the top and bottom. just don't work up and down.

i'm thinking a software issue too. but i'm going to wait untill ginger comes out rather then reload what i've got. it's just too big a hassle to set everything back up. if i'm going to do that kinda work. i'd rather it be for a newer version OS.

calibration didn't help.

i'm running nothing but a stock OS that's rooted. when froyo first rolled out.
