After installing a program/app, is it safe to delete the .apk that is left in the folder on the internal drive? I really need to free up some room and I have all the possible apps going to the sd card. I have right around 75mb left on my internal drive. I'd like to move it to about 100mb if possible.

If you are not rooted you will have a hard time deleting things permanently. Also if you do it could bork some other apps tied into the framework. (correction if wrong community). best bet is to root and go with something that strips out what you don't want.

Figures. The only thing that keeps me from rooting is that I don't want to void my protection plan on the phone. Also, this is a refurb, so I don't expect it to "live forever".
