WiFi or 4g...but no 3g?

I've had this problem for a while now, I either can get 4g or WiFi...when 4g is not available i have no internet connection. Why won't my 3g work when 4g and WiFi are not available? Thoughts?

Is your 3G connection just slow.. Or is it not available at all? Is your phone rooted with any mods? (this is the rooting/hacks forums is why I ask).

no the connection is just not available and yes my phone is rooted running the evervolv Rom but i had the same problem on C7 rom also

Did you have this issue when you were running the Stock rooted ROM? You may want to try flashing a Sense based ROM...couldn't hurt to try. If nothing else, there's a one "zip" back to stock that will completely return you to stock. It might be worth a shot

You can get here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=971550 if you want to keep bootloader and recovery, you have to remove recovery and hboot without unzipping.
You'll also have to formats your sd to fat32

Yes if you remove recovery and hboot from the. Zip. You can use winrar to remove them without unzipping
