ok i have when through most all of the How-to's on rooting my shift im still having issues.. i cant get it to work if some one could help that would be greatly appreciated.... also if u could help me oc it that help alot too

You won't be able to overclock until you achieve perm root. Where are you getting stuck in the rooting process?

i have everything installed sdk, java se, i have visionary on my phone along with astro.. i get my phone in i leave it in charge mode click temp root then type that **** in cmd prompt and it says its un accessiable

What are you typing in that says "unaccessible"?Are you getting permissions denied? First thing you need to do is make sure your phone is getting temp root before moving on to anything else.

how exactly do you know if it is?

When you click temp root it should says something about getting root (been a while since I temp rooted so I don't know the exact wording) then it should go to a black screen for a second then back to the visionary app. You can download something like "wireless tether" or "Root Checker" from the market, if you are able to grant super user permissions and use the app you have temp root

according to root checker i have have root access so my guess is theres something not done on my computer right

What command are you typing when you get "unaccessible"?

That's strange.. are you using XP?

nope im using windows 7.... the only other issues i seem to be having now is sdk wont load it keep poping a message up for java saying Java was not found in your path then it says to ;C:\program files\java\jre5\bin\java.exe i did that and its still not working

I think your best bet would be to uninstall and re download sdk and start over. Something got mixed up somewhere.. If you follow the directions exactly you shouldn't have any issues. just my opinion but I would just start over fresh... there is always the one click option if you absolutely cannot get it to work.

this would be the 3rd time uninstalling and reinstalling it

You can always try THIS.. It's a one click method created by amoamare over at XDA. It's pretty self explanatory, just read through the thread. Hope that helps.
