aosp/white taskbar for gumbo 1.5c?

anybody know if it's possible to have a white taskbar/aosp style on a 1.5c rom at all? xda and ppcgeeks brought no positive results.

With some work, it's possible. You'll need to de-odex pretty much everything in /system/app/ and /system/framework/. Then you'll need to use smali and bak-smali to change the text for the clock from white to black. After that, you'll probably want to change the text for the Date (when you pull down the notification window) from white to black as well by Hex-editing the status_bar.xml file. You'll also need to copy over the images for the status bar and the status bar icons into framework-res.apk, com.htc.resources.apk, and any other program APK that you want to display correctly (HTC Mail.apk and HTC mms.apk). It's all fun though....
