Yoo everyone, i was an idiot and deleted apps I thought I didnt need after rooting and come to find out I need a few for certain apps to work. the apps I deleted are as follows:
IM.apk
IM.odex
IMPlugins.apk
IMPlugins.odex
talk.apk
talk.odex

After doing this I can no longer access the market to download apps, can anyone help with getting these back? any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S Also I'm am getting an error message when trying to access the market

"Sorry! The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Which i'm sure is a result of deleting these apps.

Hard reset wont bring these apps back, will it ?

Did you install a ROM after you rooted? If so, you can wipe to factory, including Dalvik to be safe, then reflash the ROM. There is a stock Sprint 2.1 ROM floating around XDA that you can flash if you don't want to flash the RUU and root again.

Found Solution Without a Flash

Use Root Explorer and try this...

Steps breakdown:

Acquire the apps you deleted.
Place them on SD card.
Open Root Explorer.
Go to /sdcard where you placed the .apk files.
Press the menu button to 'Multi-Select'.
Select the .apk files you placed on your SD card.
Go back to the " / " folder. (Press the [...] dots at the top)
Open the 'system' folder.
Open the 'app' folder. (You should now be in /system/app)
MOUNT AS R/W! (By default you are mounted as R/O)
Paste the .apk files.
REMEMBER THE NAMES! (To change permissions)
Scroll to each .apk and long press individually. (Options should pop up)
Scroll to and press 'Permissions'.
New screen should say (ALONG THE TOP) Read - Write - Execute (ALONG THE SIDE) User - Group - Others.
Change the .apk permissions to match all your other system app permission. (Check READ for ALL. Check WRITE for USER. Leave Execute UNCHECKED)
Press OK.
Go to phone Home Screen.
Reboot.

Downloaded thru email acct and saved to sd/card.

Founds Apps to reinstall here:
Sprint.STOCK.2.31.651.7.ODEX_signed_2.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

I could not believe how easy and how well this worked, my Hero is back to 100%.

Thanks to those who responded!

No Problemo. Make sure to Nandroid so that you can just restore the backup if you ever have problems in the future :)
