Hey everyone,

I've been looking around the forums and the web to try to find a step-by-step of how to get Apps2SD working on my Sprint Hero. I've seen it mentioned all over the place but nothing that explicitly states how to set it up. If anyone could either give me a rundown or point me to where I can find this information I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Partition Fat32/Ext2 with App2SD

Open up Apps2SD
It will show you a screen telling you that your card is not partition and you will have a sliding bar to choose the amount of space you want for an EXT2 partition
I suggest a max of 600mb for EXT2 space (I use 500mb)
Press Ok
You will get a Force Close screen DONT PRESS FORCE CLOSE PRESS WAIT
You will get a reboot message, Press Reboot
You now have a EXT2 partition

upgrade your patition to ext3.
The reason is that ext3 is journaled meaning if you get disconnected without properly unmounting, you won't corrupt your partition. Also, like the link says, most ROM's have it included, so you don't need to install anything, just make sure your phone is properly partitioned.
Boot into recovery (Hold down vol down and hit power)
hit home button
back up your sd card (i recommend at this point hitting usb-toggle and you'll see it appear on your computer if you have it connected) and copy all your files to your computer, they will be erased
Partition sd card
you can use defaults if you wish, make sure you have like 500mb as stated
upgrade ext2 to ext3
reboot
you can then mount your sd card and place everything back in it.
