Google Play Store Not Available for hero?

Hi All,

My daughter recently picked up a HTC Hero, after dropping her phone in water. Her phone is not receiving the Google Play store, while my Moto Photon and her sister's Optimus S both have it.

Is there a trick to making the Hero update to Play store?

Go into the application menu and look for the market app. Clear the data and cache and reboot the device. That should bring up the update from Market to Play store. Hope this helps

Actually magnus your wrong there. I contacted the support for Sprint and Google play both and was told the HTC hero wont get Google play due to no support for it(the hero brand of phones) from HTC . I've tried that same method several times to no effect.
