Deleting widgets

I tried out a few widgets that didn't work out (e.g., some seemed to assume I had an attached keyboard and I could not enter information) and I cannot delete them. Before I resort to a hard reset, any ideas on how to delete? When I open the list of programs, hold it and drag them down to delete they don't go away.

Two things:

You cannot delete applications typically from the programs screen. There are two ways to remove applications that I am aware of.

1) Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications
*I've found this takes a bit to load everything... so let it load or else the navigation gets frustrating.
- From here you can flip through the apps (and everything installed on the phone) and chose the app you desire. On some of the apps you can select to uninstall from here.

2) You can go back into the Android Marketplace, choose 'My Downloads', and click on the desired app you wish to uninstall. Select 'Uninstall' at the bottom.

Hope this helps!
