I wanted to know if skype is avialable for this device, and does it use wifi or 3g?
Also is it free (to use). And will it run in the background allowing you to recieve calls etc.

Does this device support hotmail, push email for it?

Does it support msn messenger?

3. Yes, and very well I might add. The included IM program supports AOL, MSN and Yahoo. Google has it's own stand alone IM client also preinstalled on the phone.

It has Skype Lite. It uses sprint's CDMA signal, not 3G or WiFi. It's free to download, not sure about whether it's free to use (the reviews imply that it is not), although it's supposedly cheaper to call overseas. It does not run in the background.

I think the Hotmail is pull, similar to the Pre's, but the Gmail and MS Exchange is push. Not certain on that though.

SkypeLite will run in the background, but don't use it as it's a terrible resource hog.

I have Nimbuzz which caters for Skype IM. Have heard that Fring are shortly to release an Android app too that would do the same thing. Haven't heard of any that support Skype VOIP though.
