esanger - I did a little digging into this and found that all tether apps were removed from the US Android market. If you search "Tether" in the Market on your device you'll get this message.

"All tether apps have been removed from the US Android Market due to pressure from T-Mobile. This means that T-Mobile and future Android carriers CAN pull out any app they don't like!"

While this doesn't specifically mention Sprint I take the "Future Android Carriers" as cover-all for carriers other then T-Mobile.

I know its probably not the answer you (and many others) wanted but I wanted to reply to your post.

If you have the Phone As Modem service active on your line, you can tether just fine via HTC sync 2.05. Not going to work via BT until someone gets the CDMA Hero rooted and adds the correct BT services, or HTC updates the stock services. I have no idea about the BT services on the GSM Hero.

Once the phone is rooted you should be able to use something like TetherBlu - tetherBlu | SlideME
