I thought I was going nuts, but the keyboard is doing something really weird. I was able to reproduce it. Try this (with default keyboard settings, no trace):
1. Open Facebook.
2. Hit "Status" like you're going to post something. The keyboard comes up.
3. With the phone vertical, type the word "autocorrect". It shouldn't be in your dictionary, so you will need to type the whole word.
4. Delete what you've typed.
5. Hold the phone horizontally now. Type the word "autocorrect".
As hard as I try, I cannot do it. It is impossible. It always comes up "auticirrect" no matter how careful I am about hitting the right keys. Stranger still, it does not do this in other apps like Gmail. Only Facebook so far.
EDIT: Rogers custom setup on the phone, but otherwise default everything, with one exception: it had bilingual keyboard set up, but I disabled all languages except English.
