Anyone notice if these apps cause any noticeable differences in power drain?

Looking to do things like set phone to vibrate, turn off Bluetooth and WiFi, when I get to work, and other similar rules.

I've been using Tasker, including 2 location-based profiles, and have not noticed significant battery drain. Tasker has a number of different ways that it can detect location depending on your needs, with more battery-intensive methods being more accurate (such as GPS). You can read about it here: Tasker: Location Without Tears

I use net location to toggle wifi on when I'm near home or near work, then use being connected to the appropriate wifi network to trigger further location-specific tasks (for example, turning my phone on vibrate when connected to work wifi).

I use Tasker for turning on my WiFi when I'm at home and turn it off when I'm away, etc. I use the option to check nearby cell tower ids to determine my general location which uses less power than actual GPS. So if you're careful, you can use Tasked effectively with minimal power drain.
